Sept. 03 – Ofc.  S Craven arrested Andrew Wongkee, 19, of Sandy, for Rape in the second degree and Sodomy in the second degree. His bail is $250,000.

Sept. 06 – Ofc.  A Olmos arrested Jacob Phillips, 21, a transient, for a Burglary felony warrant and for being out of compliance on his sex offender registration. Phillips was found sleeping in Meinig Park.

Sept. 07 – Ofc.  M Herrera arrested Uriah McKinley, 21, of Sandy, for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. McKinley was contacted by Herrera for impeding traffic. McKinley kept placing his hands in his pockets even after being told not to. Herrera conducted a routine search for weapons and found a meth pipe with residue.

Sept. 08 – Ofc.  J Steffanson assisted Clackamas County Sheriff Deputies on a residential burglary call when an armed robbery call came in from a nearby address on East Twinberry Lp, Welches, OR. Dispatch told Steffanson that a female was screaming for help while her husband was being held at gunpoint. When he arrived on the scene, neighbors told him the suspect had left on foot. The husband was treated for knife wounds by Hoodland Fire Department. A canine unit arrived to assist. Steffanson turned the scene over to Clackamas County Sheriff’s office.

 Sept. 08 – Ofc.  S Craven was dispatched to an injury crash at Dubarko and Highway 211. A white Jeep Cherokee had hit a white Chevy pickup. After interviewing the drivers, Craven found the Jeep had pulled out of westbound Dubarko Rd, before it was safe, sideswiping the pickup. An ambulance took the driver of the pickup to the hospital. The sixteen-year-old driver of the jeep was cited for failure to yield to a traffic control device. Both vehicles were towed.

 

Sept. 11 – Ofc.  L Hodges was notified by Sandy police dispatch that there was an unwanted male subject at an address in the 38000 block of Park St. in Sandy. He responded and identified the male as a suspect in a theft case from Fred Meyer. The male was Jesse Brockner, 26, of Sandy. Brochner had several Milwaukie power tools in his possession. He admitted to stealing vacuums from Sandy Fred Meyer and some of the power tools were from Home Depot in Portland. When Hodges searched Brockner, he found Xanax. Brockner was charged with Theft 1 and 2, and possession of a controlled substance (PCS).

Sept. 12 – Ofc.  K Moody found approximately $2500 in firefighting gear in the open bed of a pickup while he was handling a parking complaint. He seized the gear for safe keeping and secured it in the Sandy Police Department property room.

Sept. 12 – Ofc.  S Burns reported that a citizen found a bike on his property in the area of 37600 Sunset St and turned it in to the Sandy Police Department. The serial number was checked in LEDS and found clear; there were no reports that the bike was stolen.

Sept. 14- Ofc.  J Steffanson arrested Kellina Ramirez, 30, of Sandy, for Failure to Appear in Court, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and three counts of Endangering a Minor. Steffanson contacted two individuals walking down Hood St. at 1:00 AM. One of them was Ramirez.

Sept. 14 – Ofc.  J Bickle arrested Michael Crane, 30, of Sandy, for an outstanding burglary warrant out of Multnomah County.

Sept. 16 – Ofc.  W Wetherbee was dispatched to a death investigation in the 17000 block of Langensand Rd. After the investigation was completed, he determined the 82-year-old female died from natural causes.
